Not sure if anyone is still checking these boards....but here goes:

I've just bought an EKS Otus (ebay bargain!) and I can't get djDecks to recognise it. I've updated the EKS firmware and installed the EKS MIDI Driver. From the list in the MIDI section within Options it shows only 2 "HID - OTUS" and I cannot get them to show as connected by hitting the reconnect button. I know the unit is sending MIDI as I've checked wih MIDI Monitor, and it works with Virtual DJ Home.

Am I missing something?

Using Macbook Pro, OSX 10.7.5, djDecks for Mac v 0.60 #20

I've set the controller to "Generic" from the list in the EKS Mapping software.

EDIT: tried it on my Windows laptop with djDecksDX and get exactly the same problem.

Worked it out: choose "XP-Series MIDI”. D'oh!

I'd still like to get it working in HID mode though if anyone ha an answer for how to do this?

HID support is tricky to do without manufacturer specs.
I think in the djDecks midi mapping documentation there is some info and a tool that you can use to find out the right bytes to use.

Thanks Adion, I've quickly read through the HID documentation and it looks a fair bit more tricky than the MIDI stuff, so I'll tweak the MIDI mapping first, and then change it to HID at a later date.

Amazing what information is there when you actually look!
