I'm trying to:
Button down:
1. save line fader value
2. mute line fader
Button released:
3. restore line fader value

Code:
   <input>
      <type>button</type>
      <value>ExecuteScript</value>
      <valuespecifier>script:keydown: \n setvar2 volm_p0 Volume_Player 0 \n setAbs Volume_Player 0 0 \n keyup: \n setAbs Volume_Player %volm_p0% 0</valuespecifier>
      <bytes_down>90 20 7f</bytes_down>
      <bytes_up>90 20 00</bytes_up>
   </input>

By replacing player 0 with 1, and watching the fader behavior I found this is actually happening:
Button down:
1. mute line fader
Button released:
2. save line fader value
3. restore line fader value

Scripts (script, name, content) inside midi xml also doesn't work.

When using an external script (.djscript file) with the underneath content, it does work right.
Code:
keydown:
setvar2 volm_p0 Volume_Player 0
setAbs Volume_Player 0 0

keyup:
setAbs Volume_Player %volm_p0% 0

Note: Just reporting. I found ud_volume_cut to be working correctly.
