For some unknown reason when I paint a music file (playlist or browser) to a color, it's not saved. Tags are healthy, file is also. BPM is saved fine. Where is the color saved?

Edit:
Looks like a tag related problem.
After removing all tags, and putting back the necessary information, color is saved. But this is not a nice solution.

Update:

It has something to do with viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6095 also.
After djDecks screwed a file, and I've fixed it with a tag editor, it's not possible to give it a permanent color again.

Adion please fix these tag issues!!! :)

Color is stored in tag, but this is not supported for all file types.
Which file type are you using?

Just finished cleaning up the comment field of my music collection. ALL colors gone (not a big deal) but can't assign colors anymore, and that sucks.

Adion can't you apply a simple patch that fixes this or maybe workarounds this by storing the colors somewhere else? I would love that so much.

Colors are supposed to be stored in a TXXX id3 field, not the comment field.
It is mp3's you are using?

Maybe as a test try to remove all tags completely and try again.

True, I just saw that using other tag software.

With http://www.mp3tag.de/en/ I opened the files, rmb, extended tags and removed the color field(s). I *think* that's a way to fix it...gonna need some more testing.

Adion what happens when "Write Tags" is disabled?
Cuepoints are saved to the tagdb. But color not always? I see different results while restarting djDecks.

It's supposed to be in the database in that case.

I apply the color, then even clicking on a column heading for sorting changes back the color to none. (I believe the dir is refreshed so djDecks looks-up the color in tagdb, where somehow it isn't saved.)
Then after restarting djDecks the color is shown...sometimes.

What tag version does djDecks write to? APEv2 I think?

Write tags back on after 100% cleaning tags of all music (backed up everything also).
Now halve of the colored songs are affected by viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6095 ...so smartlists that use the comment field stop working... what a pain. :x

In tagging software most tracks look ok, some have their comment field destroyed with Chinese chars.

Definitely something wrong but I can't seem to lock down what exactly.
