New beta.

Mac-specific, this build should now properly work when using 'Open With' in finder to open audio or video files with djDecks directly.
djDecks will now also show the progress of Tag Database building and Analyzing in the doc icon.

iTunes playlists can now be opened, Cmd-A, Cmd-+ and Cmd-- shortcuts should be working in the playlist.

-Improved reading of m3u playlists (works when the m3u contains windows paths and relative paths)
-Improved writing of m3u playlists (will be stored with a relative path when outside the djDecks playlist folder, only stored when actually changed)
-Improved connecting to midi devices

experiences with current mac beta...

bothwaveforms sometimes has a line(graphical glitch) from the left waveform to the complete x=0 point (but I think I've seen this with current dx version as well)
skin does not resize when it's too big for the screen (although this may have been added to dxdecks pc only) seems fixed
cmd+a (select all) doesn't seem to be working... still an issue
not sure what cmd++ cmd+- is supposed to do really... doesn't seem to be doing anything here...still an issue
my newest dn-hc4500.xml seems to be crashing djdecks mac, not sure what part might no be supported yet in djdecks mac... Fixed
building tag-cache is not shown in the search-box (it is not recoloring) (didn't even check this now since search and all works rather fluently)

I think that's it for now

New beta.
This beta will only support intel processors (as was already the case for a while), but will also require Mac OS X 10.5 or later.
By doing this I was able to use Apple's relatively new compiler, which should make djDecks faster.
Also, some possible crashes when loading video files should be fixed.

updated my thread above, and adding just 1 item:

my crossfader buttons in my skin (neither the audio nor the videocrossfader) buttons are showing, they work though...

FYI: I'm using drawtype 1

a few observations regarding the latest beta:

- preferences called from skin main menu virtually unusable ('close' does not actually close the 'window', lots of glitches)
- can't select a skin from system-style preferences (Menu>DJDecksForMac>Preferences...) - dropdown empty/disabled
- Adion, I might have brought this up before, but just in case - I think there's an issue with font sizes on MacOS vs. Windows. it might be a DPI issue (72 vs 96), djdecks' rendering engine thing, dunno. bottom line - the fonts in djdecks on mac are noticealby larger than on windows version using the same skin.

Nonetheless, as always, thanks for your work :)

Code:
-Various bugs fixed
-Selecting skin installed in Application Support should be working now (after restart)
-Open settings folder menu option should be working now
-Default download link is now the App Package instead of the installer
-App Package should contain a shortcut to your Applications folder

At the moment, you should only use Application Menu->Preferences to enter your registration code.
The djDecks Menu->Options window should work fine (at least it does here) until you select a skin.
When a new skin is selected, it can indeed act strange, but after restarting djDecks it should work fine.

Also test if the Applications shortcut in the download is correctly pointing to your applications folder.

In most skins the fonts look more or less ok (some even look too small I think), but I'll see if it would be possible to improve this.

btw optik, I was wondering... any plans on an updated version of the mekkatech.org skin? I really liked it, and I kinda felt that one was more suited than chiron to be the default mac skin even... just my opinion of course :)

Code:
-Fixed loading skins from Application Support (options window became unavailable in previous build)
-Skin is loaded as soon as you select it (still a few things not correct like placement of the windows on screen though)
-Fixed some problems loading certain video files
-App menu -> Preferences now opens the same skinned window as Menu->Options in a skin

Sweet.
Some issues I've noticed:
- Problem with window dragging. Dragging inner window hit areas causes whole DJDecks window to move.
- Search field font size too big or ignoring values defined in skin.
- Rendering issue: if a playlist track list is partially covered by another window, rolling over the list will cause it to pop on top of the window in a nasty way (or is it a feature?)

TBH and IMHO, I'd rather have it the other way around.

@MrBlubke: The updated version of mekkatech skin is the making, I think I'll also post a PSD file so that anybody can do whatever they like to with the design.
