I made this skin for my midi controller (AKAI LPD8) I'm going to release it as some people may find it useful. The main advantage of this skin is the way in which it auto maps the buttons and knobs for whatever mode its in, so for small midi controllers with limited buttons and knobs its very useful . Also users with midi controllers with backlit led buttons may like the feedback it gives.
To use this skin you will need a midi controller with at least 4 knobs and 8 midi buttons. If you have 6 spare buttons after using the 8 buttons needed you can use these for the 6 hot mode buttons (I just use 1-6 on my keyboard for these). Once setup you can control the browser, cues, loops, effects ect... with the 4 knobs and 8 midi buttons so you don't have to touch the mouse or trackpad.
If you have a spare input and output on your soundcard you can take advantage of the overdubber and send/return echo. These modes use input and output 3. When echo send/return is used with a mixers send and return, turn feed dry to 0.0 and feed wet to 1.0 this will have the same effect as running the mixers send/return through a delay pedal (which aren't cheap). Both the overdubber and echo send/return use input 3 so you can only use one or the other. The overdubber is basically a loop pedal for building up live loops, any sound that is feed into it will constantly loop forever, there are lots of examples of this on youtube. Overdub input 4 will use the bpm from line in on input 4, can be useful if your playing along someone else.
I know there aren't many playlist buttons but I don't tend to use them, if there is requests for them I may add them later. If there are any requests for modes/buttons to add I may add those in too. At the moment it only supports 2 players I may add 4 later.
I do advise you use the lock feature (misc mode) when first learning to use this skin as it can help you from hitting a button you think is something else by mistake, which I know can be a problem with this skin.
Any bugs, questions or ideas let me know, enjoy.
