Because the was getting quite long, and since a lot has changed to the algorithms djDecks uses, I think it is time for a new part.

When to report in this topic?
If you are using djDecks with vinyl control, and you feel that the pitch is fluctuating too much (with too much meaning that you can either hear strange sounds, or that it actually makes beat-matching more difficult) please report it here.
Please make sure that you are using the before reporting.

What to mention in the report?
-Which type of vinyl you are using (FS, SSL, VDJ, djDecks timecode or MsPinky)
-Are you using absolute or relative mode
-Type of needle, turntable and soundcard used, and if you are using phono pre-amps or not
-Results from callibration: Signal Strength and Pitch Variance
-Which Pitch Smoothing method(s) you tried, and what difference it made when changing them
-Which pitch detection method (on the debug tab) you used
-If possible, include the picture found in djDecks\settings\username\callibrate_1.jpg to your post

What are typical causes of unstable pitch?
-Dirty needles, make sure you clean them before reporting
-Vinyl that has been used very often. You can try to increase the lead in time to skip the first part of the vinyl.
-Bad/broken wires
-Not using phono pre-amps, which leads to a very weak signal level
-Interferences to the signal (ground loop, hum, ...) try a regular vinyl and use 'start line input' to listen if you can here anything wrong with the signal
-Using a mixer as phono pre-amp (turntable->mixer in->mixer out->soundcard). Some mixers distort the sound in ways that are not audible, but do make the timecode unreadable.

Picture of what the analysis picture should look like:

I have the last beta of DJ decks but I have instabiliy pitch problems, when I start the turntables, the pitch is not the correct pitch of the track, to fast or to slow, and the pitch cursor go up and down all the time.

I use final scratch records (one scratch and one standard)
I use M-audio delta 1010LT with asio drivers, one stanton STR8-60 with a Stanton 520SK and one Technics 1210MK2 with a shure M447
The both with Skytronic phono préamps

I have the best result for the moment with this configuration:

Vinyl control:

Debug:

Callibrate1:

Callibrate2:

Thanks for your answers and sorry for my bad english but I'm french.

The first indication that something is wrong is the very high pitch variance of around 0.1, which means average fluctuations of +-10% have been found.
If you look at the first callibration picture, there is a small glitch, which could be some small scratch in the record. I don't think this would cause such unstable pitch though.
The second callibration picture seems to reveal some more information. You can see that some of the waves are just cut off in the middle. It would seem that there are some buffer problems so that some part of the signal is just skipped.
What you could try is to increase the asio buffer size/latency in the asio control panel.

will the analysis for SSL, VDJ, and etc look different?
or should they look exactly like the FinalScratch's analysis?

@noid: I've heard about this problem before and it may have to do with the connection of the cartridge on the tone-arm.
You could try comparing the analysis from the pitch when it is stable, with the analysis when it is less stable.

@jagbir666: As you have noticed yourself the analysis is indeed not good. When djDecks can't get a clear signal it obviously can't detect the pitch properly.
Unfortunately I can't tell what exactly would be the problem. If the pre-amps of your soundcard would be working correctly the signal strength should definately be higher than 300, unless there's some other driver/software configuration problem.

@viperxx: They don't look exactly the same, but they should be pretty much the same. Only MsPinky's will look totally different.
Important for all others is that it looks like a clean sine wave. There should also ideally be only 2 levels for the peaks of the sine wave, either low or high (which doesn't seem to be the case with your analysis)
With SSL vinyl this is a little less clear, since only the bottom side of the waveform has these 2 levels. Still, your analysis doesn't look very good.

@all: In the future, please post the callibrate_1.jpg or callibrate_2.jpg that djDecks stores, rather than a screenshot. The pictures that djDecks store also contain which vinyl type was used, signal strength and pitch variance.
